Huskers add volleyball recruit
Megan Pendergast, a 5-foot-7 senior to be at Clear Creek High School in League City, Texas, told the Galveston County Daily News that she has verbally committed to join the Nebraska volleyball program in the fall of 2009.
Pendergast was being recruited by several schools as an outside hitter, but is expected to play libero at Nebraska.
Pendergast is the third known recruit for John Cook's 2009 recruiting class. Hannah Werth, a 6-1 outside hitter from Chatham, Ill., and Papillion-LaVista's Gina Mancuso, a 6-0 outside hitter, have previously committed to the Huskers.

Bob, why does Terry have a black and white mug shot? Is it because he's so serious about sports? Or did GateHouse revoke his color privileges in a cost-cutting move?
